The so-called “King Of Instagram” Dan Bilzerian has filed to run against a Republican congressman who previously posted that Gazans could “starve away” as long as Hamas held Israeli hostages.
The internet celebrity first announced his intent to run at the beginning of April via text message, according to The Daytona Beach News-Journal. He officially filed his statement of candidacy Tuesday as a Republican in Florida House District 6, according to a Federal Election Commission (FEC) filing. The influencer known for criticizing Israel and claiming “Jewish supremacy” is America’s main threat is challenging Republican Florida Rep. Randy Fine. The congressman faced backlash for saying the Gazans could starve while Hamas still held hostages and referring to the U.S. dropping nukes on Japan when discussing how to end the conflict. Fine won his seat during a special election last April to fill the seat left vacant by former Republican Rep. and current U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz.
On April 5, Bilzerian attacked Fine’s loyalty to the U.S. in response to the congressman’s support of President Donald Trump’s Easter message. Trump said the “crazy bastards” in the Iranian regime would open the Strait of Hormuz or they’d be “living in hell.”
“Hey look it’s jew first, Israel second and America last randy fine,” Bilzerian said. Fine’s listed pronouns on X read, “Hebrew/Hammer.”
In June 2025, Fine said Gazans could continue to starve until Hamas released the hostages it still held in a post on X. “Release the hostages. Until then, starve away. (This is all a lie anyway. It amazes me that the media continues to regurgitate Muslim terror propaganda.),” Fine posted. (RELATED: Republican Rep Randy Fine Says People In Gaza Can ‘Starve Away’ Until Hostages Are Released)
In May last year, Fine told Fox News that the only end to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict was “complete and total surrender by those who support Muslim terror,” adding that the U.S. had “nuked the Japanese twice in order to get unconditional surrender.”
In a 2024 interview with Piers Morgan, Bilzerian claimed the Talmud teaches that non-Jews are subhuman and added that he doesn’t think “Judaism and Christianity go hand-in-hand,” but that people have “been programmed” to believe such.
He also alleged that the Israelis are “perpetuating the big acts of terrorism,” not Muslims. He alleged that the figure for the number of Jews killed in the Holocaust has been “revised,” alleging that he believed “Jewish supremacy is the greatest threat to America, and I think it’s the greatest threat to the world today.”
A clip from the interview is still set as his pinned post on X as of publication.
Bilzerian also previously stated that “Hamas are the good guys fighting the Israeli terrorists.”
Bilzerian has also claimed Trump’s a “pedophile rapist” and called for his impeachment.
When asked about Bilzerian’s candidacy, a campaign spokesman for Fine told the Daily Caller that the congressman “will never back down in the face of any effort to impeach President Trump and obstruct the will of the American people.”
The campaign spokesman told the Caller that Fine was the only candidate to have been endorsed by Trump three times over the last two years. Fine has supported the “America First Agenda” on closing the border, deporting illegal immigrants, passing the Save America Act for election reform and securing tax refunds, according to the spokesman.
Bilzerian’s address is listed as being in Las Vegas, Nevada, the FEC filing shows. A U.S. representative must be a resident of the state when elected into the office, according to the Florida Department of State website.
Bilzerian’s team did not respond to the Daily Caller’s request for comment.
